About Us
JoannaJoanna began coordinating floral arrangements in 2006, in preparation for her upcoming wedding. "I loved crafting the centerpieces and floral arrangements for my wedding so much, I had to find a way to do it for a living!" Since then, Joanna has been consumed by a passion for creating beautiful arrangements from bouquets to garlands and more. Joanna specializes in classically elegant designs with a modern twist, and whimsically imaginative themes. "I want to make your wedding day more beautiful than you could ever dream of."
KrisKris fell in love with wedding decorating when creating the bouquets for her own wedding in 1997. She specializes in intricate creations and unique design work, bringing a theatrical flair to every project. "I love finding small details that speak about the couple, their shared past and their dreamed future." She holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Mount Holyoke College, giving her a depth of experience in designing for large or small venues.
Kris and Joanna partnered in 2007, realizing their shared experiences and complimentary talents made a perfect match. Their first wedding together was in June of 2007. They began Arrhephoria in September of 2007.
Both Kris and Joanna share a love of Classical Greece. Arrhephoria is an ancient Greek festival relating to issues of fertility and marriage, particularly in the context of the transition from girlhood to womanhood.

Why use silk flowers?
Gone are the days of waxy, frayed silk flowers! We use high-quality silk and latex flowers. With silk flowers, not only can we match nature's beauty, we can also provide specialty colors matched to your design palette. Most of your guests will never know your flowers are silk until they are up close, and even then, we are confident they will be impressed with the beauty and style of your arrangement.
Silk flowers will last longer; in fact, Kris still has her bouquet from her own wedding in 1997, and it looks as vibrant today as it did then. (Although her cats did munch on it a bit -- apparently cats think silk flowers as are good as real ones!) They make a fantastic keepsake for you and your wedding party.
Silk flowers allow us to help you save money without costing you any delight or beauty. Couples are surprised to hear our quotes; often an entire bouquet package is less expensive than just a few real bouquets from a florist.
